The Dillinger Escape Plan with Mike Patton
Irony Is A Dead Scene - Epitaph/FAB

If irony is dead why is an American hardcore band covering a techno hit? Strange-but-true is the existence of this new version of the Aphex Twin's nasty Come To Daddy track, whose Chris Cunningham-directed video has been scaring music channel watchers since 1997. Stranger still is that three New Jersey thrashers can barely reproduce the fear-inducing assault of the original. Joining the fun on psychotic vocals is former Faith No More frontman Mike Patton, whose solo career path has been perverse and challenging to say the least. If you can still tolerate singers yelling at you in your living room, this short collaboration is an intense blast of energy like highlights from a slasher film.
